Woodpeckers WPFTB Flush Trim Base

An accessory that transforms a standard router or laminate trimmer into a precision flush-trimming planer. The oversized 6 x 15 inch base made of phenolic material provides exceptional stability on the workpiece without tipping like standard bases. Its standout feature is horizontal trimming, which dramatically reduces the chance of grain tear-out. Ideal for trimming solid wood edge banding flush with plywood, or trimming through tenons and dowels flush with the surface.

Features
Solid Phenolic Plate: 6 x 15 inch base crafted from thick phenolic material—durable, sturdy, and glides smoothly across wood surfaces
Large Reference Surface: Over half the base rests on the workpiece, stabilizing the tool flush against the surface
Recessed Relief Area: Machined recess under the router clears protruding wood (up to 1/8 inch) before cutting
Fence-Guided Cutting: Includes an edge guide fence for fast, continuous trimming along straight edges
Versatile Guiding Options: 3 modes of operation: use the fence for straight cuts, the bearing guide for curved work, or freehand for broad surfaces
Universal Router Support: Pre-drilled for trim routers and mid-sized routers (1-1/2 HP) from nearly every brand on the market, such as Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, and Milwaukee

Applications
Trimming solid wood edge banding flush with plywood surfaces
Trimming through tenons or wooden dowels flush with workpiece surfaces
Finishing wood joints such as half-laps or bridle joints completely flush
Fine woodworking applications requiring high precision while reducing hand plane and chisel time
