NIPPON PAINT Fiber Mesh Tape 10 cm x 30 m
NIPPON PAINT Fiber Mesh (size 10 cm x 30 m) is an extra-wide fiberglass joint reinforcement mesh tape designed for large structural jointing, crack repairs, and waterproofing systems requiring an exceptionally wide bonding area. With an extra-wide width of 10 cm (100 mm), it helps distribute tensile stress more widely across joints, maximally preventing cracking issues at joints of gypsum boards, smartboards, Viva boards, and precast walls.

The tape is made from genuine fiberglass woven into a highly tough and durable grid pattern, coated with an Alkali-Resistant Coating to withstand alkalinity in cement and all types of construction chemicals. It features a pressure-sensitive Self-Adhesive Backing that sticks firmly and sets instantly without requiring a pre-applied bed of joint compound. The open-mesh structure allows joint compound or acrylic waterproofing to fully penetrate without air bubbles or blistering, resulting in a smooth and seamless surface finish.

Features

- Extra Wide 10 cm Coverage: Extra-wide 10 cm coverage covers broader joint areas, providing excellent tensile and vibration distribution.

- High Tensile & Anti-Crack: The fiberglass mesh offers extremely high tensile strength, holding joints securely against movement and permanently preventing cracks and crazing.

- Self-Adhesive Backing for easy application: High-quality adhesive adheres directly to joints without needing a bedding coat of compound, reducing work steps and cutting labor time and costs by more than half.

- Open Mesh Structure for bubble-free skimming: Uniform open mesh allows joint compound or putty to penetrate deeply to bond with the substrate, eliminating air pockets.

- Alkali Resistant: Treated fibers resist alkali, preventing rot, embrittlement, or degradation when reacting with joint compound or architectural paint.

- Easy Application: Easily cut to size with a utility knife or scissors, conforming smoothly around corners, moldings, and butt joints.

Applications (Suitable for)

- Jointing gypsum boards, drywall partitions, and smooth ceilings in areas requiring extra-wide bonding coverage.

- Joint reinforcement for fiber cement boards, smartboards, Viva boards, and precast concrete joints.

- Repairing cracks, splits, or settlement cracks on plastered and concrete walls, both interior and exterior.

- Reinforcing column corners, door-window frame joints, and angles subjected to frequent impact.

- Used with acrylic or polyurethane waterproofing systems to reinforce joints, cracks, and perimeter corners on rooftops, decks, or bathrooms.
