NIPPON PAINT Fiber Mesh Tape 5 cm x 30 m
NIPPON PAINT Fiber Mesh (Size 5 cm x 30 m) High-quality reinforcing fiberglass mesh tape for joint bonding and repair. Designed for professionals who require smooth, strong, durable ceiling, wall, and waterproofing work without recurring crack problems. Made from premium-grade fiberglass woven into a dense mesh grid with an Alkali-Resistant Coating for durability against plaster, mortar, and construction chemicals.

The tape comes with a special self-adhesive layer that provides excellent initial adhesion. It can be applied directly over gypsum board joints, SmartBoard, Viva Board, or plaster joints without the need for a primer coat. The open mesh design allows plaster or joint compound to penetrate completely, preventing air bubbles under the tape and effectively minimizing blistering and hairline cracking.

Features

- High Tensile & Crack Resistant: Fiberglass strands withstand high tensile and shear forces, helping absorb wall panel expansion and contraction to permanently prevent joint cracking and peeling.

- Self-Adhesive Backing for Easy Application: Consistent tack allows quick application over joints, setting immediately without pre-applying compound to reduce working steps.

- Open Mesh Design for Bubble-Free Smooth Finishing: Well-sized mesh openings allow joint compound or filler to penetrate and bond deeply without air pockets, enabling a smooth skim finish.

- Alkali Resistant: Treated with an alkali-resistant coating, it does not rot or degrade when exposed to cement mortar or architectural paints, ensuring long-lasting structural durability.

- Easy Application: Tape material cuts easily with a utility knife or scissors and conforms neatly around right-angle corners, column edges, and butt joints.

Applications (Suitable for)

- Joint taping for gypsum plasterboards on flush-joint ceilings and drywall partitions

- Joint bonding between fiber cement boards, SmartBoards, and Viva Boards

- Repairing cracks, fissures, or crazing on interior and exterior plaster and concrete walls

- Reinforcing column corners, door/window frames, and corner angles prone to impact or structural movement

- Reinforcing joints and edges in rooftop, deck, or bathroom waterproofing systems in combination with acrylic waterproofing membranes
