NITTO KOHKI 12P-A SP Coupler Steel Pneumatic Plug, R 1 1/2", with Automatic Shut-off Valve
NITTO KOHKI 12P-A STEEL (SP CUPLA) is a premium male quick-connect pneumatic plug built to the highest Japanese standards. Featuring an R 1 1/2-inch female thread connection, it includes an advanced safety "Automatic Shut-off Valve" built into the plug body. This valve mechanism opens the passage instantly when coupled with a female socket and seals shut automatically upon disconnection, completely preventing fluid or air backflow (fluid surge) without needing to shut off the main air valve. The body is manufactured from specially selected steel and hardened to enhance toughness, offering maximum safety against high pressure and heavy-duty impacts.

Features

Built-in Automatic Valve: Internal valve mechanism in the male plug blocks air or fluid from leaking or spraying out upon disconnection, greatly increasing operator safety.

Extra-large 1 1/2-inch size: Extra-large flow passage supports massive flow rates, making it ideal as a takeoff point from main factory air lines.

Extra-Thick Hardened Steel Construction: The body is made of high-grade steel, resistant to installation torque, vibrations from pneumatic machinery, and wear and tear from repeated connections and disconnections.

International Standard Female Thread: 1 1/2-inch thread size with fine, durable threading that tightens securely onto male fittings or steel pipes without risk of thread galling or stripping.

High-Pressure Rubber Seal: Comes with a special-grade rubber seal that withstands high pressure and temperature, decisively preventing micro-leakage.

Applications

Ideal as a connection port at the air outlet of large belt-driven air compressors or connected to high-pressure secondary air receiver tanks in factories.

Used in air and fluid supply piping systems across chemical industries, automotive assembly plants, shipyards, and large-scale concrete drilling/construction work.

Ideal for semi-permanent piping systems requiring frequent line changeovers or heavy-duty pneumatic tool changes without venting the entire system.
