RIDGID FlexShaft K9-12 Pipe Cleaner (76188) Operating size 1.1/4 - 2 inches

Pipe Cleaning Machine RIDGID FlexShaft K9-12 (76188) Operating size 1.1/4 - 2 inches
It is the easiest to use and most compact drain cleaner in RIDGID's FlexShaft family, designed for clearing light residential blockages such as in sinks, bathtubs, and showers. Featuring a streamlined design, the 30-foot (9.1 m) FlexShaft cable is fully enclosed in a durable, flexible nylon sheath within the housing, reducing mess and making post-use cleanup easy.

Unlike conventional drain cleaning machines, the K9-12 has no built-in motor; instead, it uses a standard cordless power drill (1,800 - 2,500 RPM) attached to the drive shaft on the housing to spin the cable. As the cable spins, the attached chain knocker expands to provide wall-to-wall cleaning, quickly clearing blockages and restoring pipes to full flow capacity. A built-in clutch system also protects the cable and extends its lifespan.

With its lightweight design (under 4 kg) and compact form factor, the K9-12 is an excellent choice for tackling clogged or slow-draining household pipes, and it can be stored both vertically and horizontally.

Features
- Wall-to-Wall Cleaning: The chain knocker fully expands inside the pipe to clear blockages and thoroughly clean the pipe walls.
- Less Mess and Easy Cleanup: The FlexShaft cable is encased in a durable, flexible nylon sheath and completely contained within the unit, minimizing post-use mess.
- Cordless Drill Powered: Easy and convenient to use with an existing standard cordless power drill (1,800 - 2,500 RPM) (drill not included).
- Lightweight and Compact: Weighs less than 4 kg (approx. 8-10 lbs), making it extremely easy to carry and store.
- Cable Protection System: Features a built-in clutch that helps extend cable life.
- Easy to Use and Ergonomic: The intuitive design and drill control make drain cleaning straightforward.
- Versatile Accessories: Compatible with standard chain knockers, carbide chain knockers, penetrating heads, brushes, and other FlexShaft accessories.

Applications
- Residential Drain Cleaning: Suitable for sinks, tubs, showers, bathroom, and kitchen drains.
- Soft Blockage Clearing: Such as grease buildup, hair, soap scum, and other debris.
- Ideal for Plumbers, Contractors, or Homeowners: Who want a fast, clean, and easy-to-use tool for small jobs or as a secondary tool.

Considerations
- Power drill not included: You must provide your own cordless power drill with appropriate speed (1,800 - 2,500 RPM).
- Limited pipe size and blockage types: Designed for small pipes (up to 2 inches) and soft blockages only; not suitable for heavy tree roots or large solid blockages.
- Limited cleaning distance: Cable is only 30 feet (9.1 meters) long, which may not be sufficient for longer drains or main lines.
- Power depends on drill: Machine performance depends on the power and quality of the cordless drill you use.
- May not be suitable for heavy-duty/full professional use: For large commercial jobs or more severe blockages, larger FlexShaft models (such as K9-204, K9-306) or other types of pipe cleaners may need to be considered.
