KNIPEX 49 41 A31 Precision External Circlip Pliers

KNIPEX 49 41 A31 Precision External Circlip Pliers
The KNIPEX 49 41 A31 precision circlip pliers are premium German-made hand tools designed for heavy-duty professionals, specifically for fitting and removing external circlips on shafts from 40-100 mm. This model stands out with 90-degree angled tips that make it easy to access tight corners or obstructed areas. A key highlight is the overexpansion guard mechanism with an adjustable stop screw to set the opening limit, preventing excessive force that could damage or deform the circlips.
The pliers body is forged from chrome vanadium electric steel and oil-hardened for ultimate durability. The tips are made of high-density spring steel wire inserted directly into the forged body, offering up to 10 times longer service life than conventional pliers, combined with a bolted joint for smooth, play-free movement. Truly a tool designed for industrial applications and series production.
Features
90° Angled Tips: angled design allows precise operation in confined spaces or hard-to-reach machinery components
Overexpansion Guard: adjustable stop screw mechanism prevents circlip damage from over-expanding, conforming to DIN 471 standards
Precision Tips: 2.3 mm tip diameter with large contact areas and extra strength prevents circlips from distorting and slipping off
Chrome Vanadium Steel (Cr-V): special grade material with a grey atramentized finish for rust resistance and high durability in heavy-duty use
Bolted Joint: Smooth, natural plier movement, precise and with zero backlash
Captive Spring: Internal spring design inside the joint protects against dirt and prevents the spring from getting lost
Non-Slip Grip: Textured plastic coating provides a firm grip and prevents slipping while applying force
Applications (Suitable for)
Series production assembly requiring high precision to reduce scrap rates caused by damaged circlips
Maintenance work on automobiles, trucks, heavy machinery, or chassis with shaft sizes of 40-100 mm
