SUMO ER5356 is an aluminum TIG (GTAW) welding rod containing approximately 5% magnesium (Al-Mg5), designed for applications requiring high strength and excellent toughness. The 2.4 mm rod is a standard versatile size covering medium-thickness up to general structural work, offering a balanced metal deposition rate and puddle control.

High Tensile Strength: Provides higher tensile strength than silicon grades (ER4043), making it suitable for heavy-load applications

Sea Water Resistance: Excellent resistance to sea water and salt spray corrosion (Marine Grade)

High Ductility: High ductility, capable of withstanding vibrations and thermal expansion well without cracking

Stable Arc: High wire cleanliness ensures a stable arc and easy weld pool control

Excellent Anodizing Match: After anodizing, the weld bead blends better with the base material's original color than other grades

Application

Suitable for welding aluminum grades 5050, 5052, 5083, 5456, as well as structural grades like 6061 and 6063
