SUMO ER5356 welding wire, size 1.6 mm, is an aluminum rod wire for TIG (GTAW) welding processes containing approximately 5% magnesium (Al-Mg5). Designed for workpieces requiring high weld strength and excellent ductility, the 1.6 mm wire size is ideal for thin workpieces or jobs requiring fine, neat welds and precise heat control.

High Tensile Strength: Provides higher tensile strength than silicon grades (ER4043), suitable for structures subject to heavy loads or pressure

Excellent Precision: With a diameter of only 1.6 mm, it allows welders to precisely control the amount of filler metal added to the weld pool

Superior Corrosion Resistance: Outstanding resistance to corrosion, especially in acidic, alkaline, or coastal environments (Marine Grade)

High Ductility: The weld bead offers high ductility, withstanding vibration and impact well without cracking

Application

Suitable for welding aluminum grades 5050, 5052, 5083, 5456, as well as structural grades like 6061 and 6063
