SUMO ER308Lsi is an austenitic solid stainless steel MIG welding wire with extra low carbon content and higher silicon content than standard models. Designed to improve the fluidity of the molten pool during welding, it provides a smooth, bright weld bead with complete edge blending, making it ideal for stainless steel structural work requiring both strength and aesthetics.

Feature

High Silicon Content (si): The high silicon content provides excellent molten pool fluidity (High Fluidity), reduces weld bead crowning, and helps create a flat, neat weld appearance.

Extra Low Carbon (L): Minimizes carbide precipitation, providing excellent resistance against intergranular corrosion.

Superior Weldability: Smooth and stable arc, low spatter, helping save cleanup time.

Excellent Appearance: The weld bead is exceptionally bright and clean, ideal for applications requiring exposed welds.

Precision Layer Wound: Neatly layer-wound wire ensures smooth, continuous wire feeding without jamming in the welding gun, even during high-speed welding.

Application

Suitable for welding grades 301, 302, 304, 304L, and 308 stainless steel.

Used in food and pharmaceutical industries (Food Grade), large stainless steel structures, automotive industry, and chemical industry piping.

Directions for Use: Must be used with a shielding gas; an argon mixture (Argon Mix) such as Ar + 1-2% O2 or Ar + 2% CO2 is recommended for optimal performance.

Recommendation: For 1.2 mm size, it should be used with a high-output MIG welder to achieve proper penetration suitable for the workpiece thickness.
