SUMO stainless steel welding wire model E308LT0-3 is a flux-cored wire containing grade 308L stainless steel. The wire features flux contained within its core and is specifically designed for flat and horizontal position stainless steel welding. It provides high deposition efficiency and has low carbon content to prevent intergranular corrosion.

Feature

Self-Shielding & Gas Option: This flux-cored wire model is typically used with CO2 or mixed gas shielding to achieve the cleanest and shiniest weld bead.

Low Carbon (L): The very low carbon content helps reduce the risk of carbide precipitation, providing the weld bead with excellent corrosion resistance.

Excellent Slag Detachability: The slag generated during welding completely covers the weld bead and can be chipped off very easily, revealing a clean, bright weld bead.

Smooth Arc & Low Spatter: Consistent, stable arc with minimal spatter, reducing post-weld cleanup and finishing time.

Compact Size (1 kg): Packed in a small spool, ideal for portable MIG welders or repair jobs requiring high mobility.

Application

Suitable for welding austenitic stainless steel grades such as 301, 302, 304, and 304L.

Widely used in the chemical industry, food industry, stainless steel architectural/decorative work, and stainless steel pipe fabrication.

Directions for use: Best results are achieved when welding in flat and horizontal fillet positions.

Recommendation: Shielding gas should be selected according to the instructions on the box (typically 100% CO2 or 75-80% Argon + 20-25% CO2) to achieve the most aesthetically pleasing weld bead
