SUMO ER308Lsi is an austenitic solid stainless steel MIG filler wire with extra low carbon content and increased silicon content compared to the standard model (ER308L). Designed to enhance molten metal fluidity during welding, it produces an exceptionally smooth and bright weld bead.

Feature

High Silicon Content (si): Improves molten metal fluidity (High Fluidity), minimizes weld bead crowning, and provides a flat, neat weld bead that blends well with the base metal.

Extra Low Carbon (L): The extra low carbon content helps prevent intergranular corrosion, ensuring long-term strength and durability of the weld.

Superior Weld Appearance: The weld bead is exceptionally bright, shiny, and produces less soot than typical stainless steel welding wires.

Stable Arc: Stable and consistent arc, reduces spatter, and saves post-weld clean-up time

Precision Winding: The wire is neatly precision-wound, ensuring smooth feeding without jamming in the welding torch liner

Application

Suitable for welding grades 301, 302, 304, 304L, and 308 stainless steel.

Widely used in ornamental applications, food & beverage industries, stainless steel furniture manufacturing, and automotive exhaust systems

Instructions for Use: Must be used with shielding gas; use Argon Mix or Argon 98% + O2/CO2 2% for maximum performance

Recommendations: Clean the stainless steel surface thoroughly before welding, and select a contact tip that matches the wire size (0.9 mm)
