KNIPEX Alligator® XL Water Pump Pliers 88 01 400 (400 mm)

KNIPEX Alligator® XL Water Pump Pliers 88 01 400 Size 400 mm
KNIPEX Alligator® XL Water Pump Pliers 88 01 400 Size 400 mm: German-standard extra-large (XL) water pump pliers innovatively designed specifically for heavy-duty gripping, delivering superior gripping power compared to conventional water pump pliers. With an overall length of 400 mm, it provides greater leverage for twisting and tightening large workpieces. The induction-hardened jaws with teeth opposed to the direction of rotation ensure a tight grip on pipes or hex nuts without slipping (self-locking). The double box-joint design delivers enhanced stability and high resistance to immense torque. Ideal for industrial plumbing installations, heavy automotive work, and large-scale structural maintenance.
Features
XL Gripping Power: With a length of 400 mm, it reduces gripping effort and maximizes torque for holding or tightening large workpieces effectively.
Self-Locking Mechanism: Jaws automatically lock onto pipes and nuts under load, eliminating the need to continuously squeeze the handles and preventing slipping.
11-Position Adjustment: Fine adjustment of the jaw opening provides a maximum gripping capacity of up to 3 1/2 inches (90 mm) for pipes and 95 mm for nuts.
Specially Hardened Teeth: Gripping teeth are high-frequency induction-hardened (hardness approx. 61 HRC) for superior wear resistance and long-lasting secure grip.
Box-Joint Construction: Double-guide groove joint design provides high stability, absorbing heavy torsional loads without wobbling or shifting.
Pinch Guard: Handle stop spacing is designed for safety to prevent pinching the user's fingers during operation.
Non-slip plastic-coated handles: Provides a secure grip and is easy to wipe clean of oil and dirt.
