KNIPEX 98 20 55 SL Slim VDE 1000V Insulated Slotted Screwdriver 5.5 x 232 mm

KNIPEX 98 20 55 SL Slim VDE 1000V Insulated Slotted Screwdriver 5.5 x 232 mm
The KNIPEX 98 20 55 SL is a VDE 1000V insulated slotted screwdriver with a 5.5 mm blade tip (blade length 125 mm, overall length 232 mm), specially designed for electrical work and electrical cabinet assembly. It features Slim Blade (SL) technology, which reduces the insulation diameter at the tip to be flush with the blade shaft, allowing easy access to deep-seated screws in spring breakers or hard-to-reach panel recesses without the insulation snagging on compartment edges.
The handle is made of an ergonomic two-component material, providing a secure grip, excellent torque transmission, a soft feel, and reduced fatigue during extended work. The hardened and burnished tip enhances precision grip in screw slots, and each piece is individually voltage-tested in accordance with the international IEC 60900 standard, ensuring professional-grade safety.

Features
- VDE 1000V Electrical Safety Standard: Individually tested at 10,000V in water, conforming to DIN EN / IEC 60900 standards, safe for high-voltage work.
- Slim Shaft (SL): The reduced blade insulation diameter is flush with the steel shaft, facilitating easy access to deep-set screws or narrow openings.
- 5.5 mm Slotted Tip: The tip provides a precise, tight grip in screw slots, delivers high torque transmission, and minimizes slipping or stripping.
- Ergonomic Multi-Component Handle: Comfortable and non-slip grip, excellent torque transfer, and designed with an anti-roll shape to prevent rolling off work surfaces.
- Chrome Vanadium Molybdenum Steel: Made of special hardened alloy steel with a burnished tip for enhanced durability and long-lasting rust protection.

Applications (Suitable for)
- Ideal for installing, tightening, and maintaining electrical components in electrical cabinets (control panels / switchboards).
- For assembling and wiring circuit breakers (MCB/MCCB), switches, contactors, and standard slotted terminal blocks.
- Suitable for electricians, electrical engineers, factory maintenance technicians, and general electrical assembly work.
