SUMO Stainless Steel Welding Wire model ER308Lsi is an austenitic filler rod for the TIG (GTAW) welding process with an extra-low carbon content and higher silicon content to improve molten pool fluidity, resulting in smooth weld seams and excellent deep penetration.

Feature

High Silicon Content (si): Increased silicon content promotes high fluidity of the molten metal, making the weld pool easy to control and yielding a flat, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing weld seam.

Extra Low Carbon (L): Helps prevent intergranular corrosion, ensuring high corrosion resistance in the weld seam.

Superior Arc Stability: Stable and consistent arc produces clean, bright, shiny weld seams with very minimal spatter and soot.

High Purity: Manufactured through a clean process free from impurities, providing high-quality weld seams meeting international standards.

Ease of Use: The 1.6 mm size makes it ideal for welding thin to medium stainless steel, allowing for precise filler metal deposition.

Application

Suitable for welding grades 301, 302, 304, 304L, and 308 stainless steel.

Used in the food & beverage industry, exhaust pipe fabrication, stainless steel decorative work, and pressure vessel fabrication.

How to use: Must be used with a TIG welding machine (DC- current) and 100% pure argon shielding gas.

Recommendation: Clean the workpiece surface thoroughly to remove grease and dirt before welding to prevent porosity.
