KNIPEX 16 45 220 STX60 Wire Stripping Tool
16 45 220 KNIPEX STX60 Quickly strips cables from 30 to 60 mm in diameter with PVC, rubber, or PUR outer sheathing using circumferential and longitudinal cuts. Easy diameter adjustment—the tool stays in place! Easy to use with rapid cable diameter change between 30 and 60 mm via quick adjustment and fine tuning using a rotary knob. Precision blade with adjustable cutting depth up to 6.5 mm, even on tough insulation such as rubber hose cables (H07RN-F). Protected during storage and transport – blade can be fully retracted. Two mechanisms for longitudinal cutting: manual with foldable pull assist, or ratchet mechanism for effortless feed (ratchet not included). Efficient and time-saving compared to conventional tools. Floating guide rollers ensure precision in both longitudinal and circumferential cuts. Rugged, durable housing made of high-quality die-cast aluminum and well-engineered design for a long service life. Versatile – ideal for industrial plants, solar and wind power stations, shipbuilding, and mobile power supply systems. Two spare blades integrated into the rotary knob – always ready for uninterrupted work.

Features

- Versatile Cutting: Supports both circular and longitudinal stripping for fast and easy jacket removal

- Adjustable Cutting Depth: Blade depth can be adjusted up to 3 mm to suit different insulation thicknesses, preventing damage to the inner wire cores

- High-Impact Material: Body made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, robust, impact- and chemical-resistant

- Secure Grip: Ergonomic design ensures a firm grip, allowing smooth and precise rotation of the tool around the cable

- Replaceable Blade: Blade can be replaced when dull (consumable spare part)

Applications

- Stripping insulation of NYY, PVC, or large low-to-medium voltage cables

- Electrical installation work in industrial plants and large buildings

- Technicians working with multi-core jacketed cables

Specification

- Stripping capacity (diameter): 30 to 60 mm

- Adjustable cutting depth up to 6.5 mm
