KNIPEX 98 20 65 SL Slim VDE 1000V Insulated Slotted Screwdriver 6.5 x 262 mm

KNIPEX 98 20 65 SL Slim VDE 1000V Insulated Slotted Screwdriver 6.5 x 262 mm
The KNIPEX 98 20 65 SL is a standard VDE 1000V insulated slotted screwdriver with a 6.5 mm tip width (150 mm blade length). Specifically designed for electrical work, switchboard assembly, and industrial control cabinets. It features Slim Blade (SL) technology with reduced blade insulation diameter flush with the steel blade, allowing the screwdriver blade to easily access deep-set screws in spring elements, circuit breakers, or tight control cabinet compartments without the insulation getting caught on edges.
The handle is made of an ergonomic two-component material (Ergonomic Two-Component Handle) for a firm grip, excellent torque transmission, soft feel, and reduced fatigue during continuous work. The tip is hardened and black-finished to enhance precision screw engagement, and individually voltage-tested in accordance with the international IEC 60900 standard, ensuring professional-grade safety.

Features
- VDE 1000V Electrical Safety Standard: Individually tested at 10,000V in water, conforming to DIN EN / IEC 60900 standards, safe for high-voltage work.
- Slim Shaft (SL): Reduced insulation diameter at the blade tip flush with the steel shank allows effortless fastening of deep-set screws or work in confined spaces without obstruction.
- 6.5 mm Slotted Tip: Precision tip engages screw slots securely, delivers high torque transmission, and reduces cam-out or slipping.
- Ergonomic Multi-Component Handle: Comfortable and non-slip grip, excellent torque transfer, and designed with an anti-roll shape to prevent rolling off work surfaces.
- Chrome Vanadium Molybdenum Steel: Made of special hardened alloy steel with a burnished tip for enhanced durability and long-lasting rust protection.

Applications (Suitable for)
- Ideal for installing, tightening, and maintaining electrical components in electrical cabinets (control panels / switchboards).
- For assembling and wiring circuit breakers (MCB/MCCB), switches, contactors, and standard slotted terminal blocks.
- Suitable for electricians, electrical engineers, plant maintenance technicians, and general industrial electrical equipment assembly.
