TRUSCO Plating Masking Tape Model TMMT-1966-B in Blue, a premium industrial-grade masking tape innovation for metal plating and baking paint finishes from Japan. Made from high-quality polyester film combined with a special silicone adhesive layer that provides exceptional resistance to acidic and alkaline environments, corrosive chemicals, and pressures during electrochemical plating processes (electroplating/anodizing). The thin tape adheres tightly to surfaces, cleanly preventing chemicals or paint from leaking into unwanted areas. Once the process is finished, it removes easily without leaving sticky adhesive residue, delivering sharp, clean edges and saving surface cleanup time.

Features

Chemical and Plating Resistant: Silicone adhesive layer and polyester film will not dissolve or deteriorate when exposed to chemicals, acids, alkalis, and vapors in metal plating baths.

High Heat Resistance: Withstands temperatures in paint baking or heat-curing processes up to 180°C - 200°C without peeling or degrading.

Clean Removal: When the manufacturing process is complete, the tape can be pulled off smoothly without leaving any residue on the workpiece.

Tough, Flexible Film: At only 0.08 mm thick, it conforms closely to workpiece contours and curves while resisting tearing during application.

High-Visibility Blue Color: The blue tone allows operators to clearly see masking positions, reducing errors during quality inspection steps.
