TRUSCO TPS1818-BK Resin-Coated Polyester Flame-Retardant Sheet Grade R2
Elevate safety and ultimate fire protection at engineering work sites with the TRUSCO TPS1818-BK, a special R2-grade flame-retardant resin-coated polyester sheet (Fire Resistant Protective Sheet) from a leading Japanese industrial brand. The tarp is made from high-density woven polyester fibers (High-Density Weave) coated on both sides with PVC resin using a specialized chemical formula that meets the R2 flame-retardant standard—self-extinguishing immediately and non-flame propagating. It features an optimal thickness that is both soft and tough at 0.34 - 0.35 mm. The solid black pigment reduces light reflection and conceals soot stains from work operations. The sheet is punched with rust-resistant aluminum grommets around the perimeter with extra-close 30 cm spacing for convenient, secure rigging or hanging as a spark screen.

Features

Premium R2 Flame-Retardant Standard: Passes strict flame-retardant material testing criteria to prevent ignition from on-site slag and safely self-extinguishes.

PVC Resin-Coated Polyester Fabric: Delivers a robust structure resistant to tensile force and tearing (Tear Resistant), preventing sparks from grinding and steel cutting from penetrating through the sheet.

Extra-Close 30 cm Grommet Spacing: For Japanese-style tight tensioning, ensuring that when used as a windbreak or spark screen, there are no wrinkles or gaps for sparks to escape.

Complete Weatherproof Properties: In addition to flame retardancy, it is 100% waterproof, UV-resistant, and highly resistant to moisture, industrial chemicals, and on-site motor oil.

Applications (Suitable for)

Spark and Slag Screen for Welding Work: Used to hang around electric welders, gas welding, or heavy metal cutting zones to block sparks (Welding Spatter Curtain).

Cover for Machinery and Flammable Objects: Used to cover gas tanks, motor oil storage, or product pallets located near high-heat work areas in factories.

Safety Partition Screen for Refineries and Shipyards: Ideal for creating temporary partitions in confined spaces or maintenance areas requiring maximum fire prevention.
