TAJIMA DK-TN80HST2 Hard Chrome Plated Curved Cable Knife
The TAJIMA DK-TN80HST2 "Tatakku Knife" is a professional electrical and cable stripping knife from Japan, designed based on feedback from electricians on-site for maximum efficiency and safety. It features a full-tang penetrating blade construction, allowing you to strike the end of the handle with a hammer to chip or split cables safely without breakage. The blade undergoes advanced forming and surface plating processes to retain its sharpness for a long time and provide versatile performance all in one knife.

Features

Hollow-Ground Blade Coating: The blade features hard chrome plating to resist rust and prevent cable rubber from sticking. Combined with a special hollow-ground edge that reduces friction, it allows smooth, effortless, and precise slitting of cable types such as VVF, THWN, or NM.

Full-Tang Strike End: The thick, full-tang steel blade extends all the way to the steel end cap, providing excellent resistance to hammer impact. The end cap is covered with polycarbonate plastic to prevent direct metal-to-metal contact.

Chisel-Like Tip Blade: The tip of the blade is ground flat and thick like a chisel, making it ideal for scraping, prying, and chiseling workpieces or opening electrical boxes.

Integrated Deburring Groove: The back of the blade features a special deburring groove for deburring and smoothing the edges of electrical conduits (PVC/EMT) after cutting, allowing quick and convenient clean-up without changing tools.

Premium Holster Set & Anti-Slip Grip: The elastomer resin handle provides a non-slip grip even with sweaty hands. It comes with an ABS plastic holster that secures firmly to a tool belt and includes a safety rope attachment hole connecting the knife and holster to prevent accidental drops from heights.

Applications

Suitable for professional electricians for slitting, splitting, separating, and stripping all types of wires and cables such as VVF, THW, THHN, and NM.

Electrical conduit installation work, including slitting flexible conduits, wire ropes, and using the blade's spine groove to deburr plastic pipes.

General construction, electrical control cabinet installation, maintenance work, and built-in furniture installation requiring a heavy-duty utility knife.
