The TAJIMA TBY-SH180 "SUPER HARD™" Drywall Rasp 7 is an innovative gypsum board edge rasp specifically designed to handle super hard gypsum boards. Superior to conventional rasps, it replaces traditional steel teeth with special-grade ceramic rasp teeth, providing wear resistance and rust-free durability throughout its service life, along with a double-sided design offering coarse and fine surfaces for great versatility.

Features

Extreme Ceramic Durability: Extra-hard ceramic rasp teeth last up to 10 times longer than standard TAJIMA steel rasp teeth and will never rust.

Tetra-Teeth Technology: Four-direction tooth structure aggressively bites and carves into the material, removing up to 20% more stock faster than conventional fixed-blade rasps.

Double-Sided Board File: Highly versatile with two abrasive sides in one tool: a coarse side for rapid, heavy chamfering and material removal, and a fine side for smooth surface finishing.

Angled Corner Rasping: The rasp blade is designed with a slight angle, allowing tradesmen to easily and accurately reach into and shape inside corners.

Ergonomic Elastomer Grip: Lightweight molded handle coated with premium elastomer (Non-Slip Elastomer Armor) prevents slipping even with gypsum dust on hands and helps reduce fatigue.

Applications

Ideal for ceiling installers and drywall contractors who need to trim and deburr edges of prefabricated gypsum boards.

Used for leveling and smoothing edges of fire-resistant, extra-thick, or super-hard gypsum boards that conventional steel files cannot cut.
