The Bosch Power Bit TORX T40 152 mm (2 607 001 676) is an industrial-grade, extra-long single-ended power bit specially designed for heavy-duty tasks requiring high torque transmission with T40 TORX® screws. Crafted from premium alloy steel in Bosch's Extra Hard series and subjected to rigorous hardening and tempering processes, it stands out with its 152 mm (6-inch) length. This provides deep reach into recessed channels, tight niches, or blind angles of large machinery and structures with precision and safety—eliminating the need for bit extensions that often introduce wobble and runout. The end features a 1/4" hex shank for a secure lock in power tools.

Feature

Extra Hard Steel Quality: Made from premium alloy steel subjected to a heat treatment process that distributes uniform hardness throughout the workpiece in accordance with Bosch German standards. This makes the bit exceptionally resistant to massive torsional stress from power tools and impact drivers, effectively delaying chipping, wear, or distortion of the star lobes.

Tapered Torsion Zone: The central shank structure is designed with a tapered shape to function as a torsion zone, flexing to absorb repetitive impact forces and disperse peak torque accumulation during tightening, preventing abrupt tip breakage.

High-Precision TORX® Profile: The 6-point T40 star tip is precision-machined with sharp, distinct edges, fitting flush and providing full contact with T40 star screw recesses. This delivers maximum power transfer and reduces bit slip out of the screw head (cam-out).

Super Extended 152 mm Length: With an extra-long dimension of 152 mm, it provides a consistent, straight shank body that delivers excellent visibility of the workpiece and ensures stable vertical control without wobbling during high-speed rotation.

ISO 1173 Standard E6.3: Features a 1/4-inch hex shank compliant with international ISO 1173 long shank standards (E6.3), featuring a deep locking groove for secure engagement with spring-loaded quick-change chucks, impact drivers, and cordless drills, preventing the bit from dropping into work cavities.

Application

Application: Ideal for driving and loosening large star/TORX screws (size T40) requiring high torque in deep or particularly hard-to-reach locations. Commonly used in steel structures, heavy timber construction, vehicle chassis and engine assembly (pickup trucks, European cars, big bikes), heavy machinery maintenance, as well as industrial piping and electrical control cabinet installations, used with electric screwdrivers, cordless drills, or high-torque impact drivers.
