SUMO E308L-16 Stainless Steel Welding Electrode 2.6 mm is a high-purity Lime-Titania flux-coated welding electrode designed specifically for austenitic stainless steels (such as Grade 304). The "L" (Low Carbon) grade provides high corrosion resistance to the weld bead. The 2.6 mm size is considered the most versatile size, preferred by welders for its ease of use across all working conditions.

Feature

Intergranular Corrosion Resistance: With its extra-low carbon content, it minimizes chromium carbide precipitation, keeping the weld bead rust-resistant even after exposure to high heat.

Smooth Arc & Low Spatter: Delivers a smooth and stable arc along the entire electrode with minimal spatter, keeping the workpiece surface clean.

Excellent Slag Detachability: The slag covering the weld bead can be easily chipped off or sometimes self-releases upon cooling, revealing a clean, bright, and shiny weld bead.

All-Position Welding: Capable of welding in all positions, providing weld metal with good fluidity and attractive solidification.

Moisture Resistance: The flux is designed to resist moisture better than general stainless steel electrodes, reducing porosity in the weld bead.

Application

Suitable for welding stainless steel grades 301, 302, 304, and 304L.

Used in decorative industries, stainless steel railings, fences, and furniture work.

Used in machinery assembly in the food, pharmaceutical, and household appliance industries.

For welding liquid storage tanks or stainless steel pipes requiring high strength and excellent rust resistance.

Recommendation: For the most complete weld bead, clean the joint free of oil stains. If the electrodes are exposed to moisture, bake them at 200-250°C for 30-60 minutes.
