Hard Steel Welding Electrode SUMO Model E7016 Size 4.0 mm (20 kg/box)
SUMO E7016 4.0 mm welding electrode is a flux-coated, low-hydrogen potassium type electrode designed for welding 490 MPa high-tensile steels. It delivers excellent penetration and high weld metal toughness with outstanding crack resistance under heavy-duty conditions.

Feature

High Tensile Strength: Provides high-strength weld beads with excellent tensile and impact resistance, ideal for heavy-load applications.

Low Hydrogen Type: Features extremely low diffusible hydrogen in the weld metal, effectively preventing cold cracking in the weld bead.

Excellent Weldability: Delivers a smooth, stable arc, easy molten pool control, and easy slag removal after welding.

X-ray Quality: Clean, sound weld metal free of porosity and inclusions, meeting international standards for X-ray inspection.

All-Position Welding: Can be used in all welding positions (except vertical down), producing smooth and aesthetically pleasing weld beads.

Application

Suitable for welding large steel structures such as bridges, high-rise building frames, and shipbuilding.

Used for welding pressure vessels as well as thick-walled oil and gas pipelines.

Used for maintenance and repair of heavy machinery manufactured from high-tensile steel.

Recommendation: For optimum performance, redry the electrodes at 300-350°C for 30-60 minutes before use to eliminate any moisture accumulated in the flux.
