SUMO aluminum welding wire model ER4043 is a spool-type MIG wire containing approximately 5% silicon (Al-Si5). Designed for welding cast aluminum and various wrought aluminum grades, its highlights include high weld pool fluidity and a low melting point, which help reduce hot cracking and produce a clean, smooth weld bead.
Feature

Superior Fluidity: The silicon content gives the molten metal excellent fluidity, makes the weld pool easy to control, and provides consistent penetration.

Low Melting Range: Features a lower melting temperature range, helping to reduce workpiece heat distortion.

High Crack Resistance: Offers better resistance to weld cracking than ER4047 or pure aluminum grades.

Smooth Feeding: The wire surface is well-polished and possesses sufficient stiffness to reduce wire tangling in the wire feeder (bird-nesting).

Bright Finish: Yields a clean, bright weld bead with clearly visible shine to the naked eye after welding.

Application

Suitable for welding aluminum grades 6061, 6063, 5052 and cast aluminum grades 356, 443.

Used in the shipbuilding industry, large aluminum structural work, automotive parts, and cylinder head or engine block repair work

Instructions for use: Must be used exclusively with pure argon (100% Argon) shielding gas

Recommendation: For 1.2 mm size, it should be used with a U-groove drive roller and a Teflon liner to reduce friction during wire feeding
