SUMO 0% Silver Brazing Rod (Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Alloy) is a flat brazing rod with 0% silver content. It contains phosphorus that aids fluidity and acts as a self-fluxing agent when brazing copper to copper. Designed to create strong welds with good vibration resistance in refrigeration systems and general copper piping applications.

Feature

Self-Fluxing on Copper: No additional flux is required when brazing copper to copper, enabling fast and clean operation.

Flat Profile Design: The flat shape makes it easier to control filler metal deposition compared to round rods in certain joint positions, and prevents rolling off when resting the rod.

Excellent Fluidity: Provides excellent capillary action to flow into joints, even in tight clearances.

High Vibration Resistance: The brazed joint is ductile and offers good resistance to vibration, suitable for systems with operating machinery.

Economical Choice: With 0% silver content, it is the most cost-effective choice for general copper brazing where high flexibility of high-silver alloys is not required.
Application

Used for brazing copper pipes in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Welding copper plumbing pipe fittings, water heaters, and heat exchangers

Directions for use: Use with a gas welding kit (LPG/Oxygen or Acetylene/Oxygen). Heat the workpiece until red-hot before feeding the brazing rod.

Caution: When brazing with brass or bronze, Brazing Flux MUST be used, and do not use on ferrous or nickel metals.
