SUMO 0% silver brazing rod (round type) is a brazing rod primarily composed of copper and phosphorus. Designed for brazing copper pipes and copper fittings in refrigeration and plumbing systems. The phosphorus in the rod serves as a built-in flux (Self-fluxing), enabling copper-to-copper brazing without requiring additional flux.

Self-Fluxing Property: Brazes copper to copper directly without flux, helping complete jobs faster and reducing residue.

Round Profile: 2.4 mm round profile provides substantial filler material, ideal for joints with wider clearances or where build-up is required.

High Fluidity: Upon reaching melting temperature, the molten metal flows into joints smoothly via capillary action.

Durable Joints: Produces high-strength braze joints that resist system pressure and offer excellent corrosion resistance.

Cost-Effective: The most economical choice among copper brazing rods, as it contains no silver (Silver 0%).

Application

Used for brazing copper tubing in air conditioning systems, refrigerators, and all types of refrigeration equipment.

Brazing and assembling copper fittings in hot water piping systems and metal crafts.

Directions for use: Use with a gas welding kit (LPG/Oxy or Acetylene/Oxy). Heat the workpiece until bright red before feeding the rod.

Recommendation: If brazing copper to brass or bronze, brazing flux MUST always be used.
