The SUMO FV6-21H 6-inch Interface Pad is an accessory used between the sander backing pad and the sanding disc. The thick, soft, and highly flexible foam is designed to absorb impact and conform the contact surface to curved and contoured workpieces, delivering a fine, consistent finish and preventing oversanding on edges or corners.

High Flexibility: Premium foam enables the sanding disc to conform closely to curves and uneven surfaces effectively.

21-Hole Design: Features 21 dust extraction holes arranged to international standards, providing excellent dust extraction when paired with pneumatic or electric sanders to minimize sanding disc clogging.

Hook & Loop Fastener: Hook-and-loop system on one side attaches to the backing pad and the other side holds the sanding disc, ensuring strong grip that withstands high rotational centrifugal forces.

Vibration Reduction: Helps absorb vibrations transferred from the sander to the operator's hands, allowing continuous operation and reducing fatigue.

Surface Protection: Prevents the rigid backing pad from directly contacting or striking the workpiece, reducing the risk of deep gouges or scratches.

Application

Used for fine sanding, pre-paint surface preparation, automotive paint sanding, and sanding curved wooden surfaces.

Ideal for use with 6-inch pneumatic dual-action sanders (DA Sanders).

Instructions for Use: Attach the hook-and-loop side of the interface pad to the sander's backing pad, aligning the dust holes, then attach a 6-inch round sanding disc onto the other side of the foam pad.

Recommendation: Make sure the dust extraction holes on the foam pad align with the backing pad so that the dust extraction system operates at maximum efficiency.
