The SUMO 5-inch sanding backing pad, model SPP5-NH, is an adhesive-faced (Vinyl Face / PSA), non-hole backing pad made of high-quality polyurethane (PU) with an exceptionally smooth surface. Designed for use with adhesive-backed round sanding discs, it provides stable sanding and a consistently flat finish, making it ideal for fine sanding applications that demand maximum smoothness.

Precision Balance: Perfectly balanced pad reduces sander vibration, allowing easy directional control and minimizing user fatigue.
High-Grade PU Construction: Made of premium polyurethane that resists friction and heat buildup, retaining its shape even under heavy use.
Non-Hole Design: The solid pad face evenly transmits pressure from the sander to the workpiece, ideal for dry sanding applications where surface flatness is a priority.
Uniform Sanding: Ensures closer contact between the sandpaper and the workpiece than hook-and-loop systems in certain applications, providing sharper, more precise leveling of paint nibs or scratches.
Application
Used as a backing pad for 5-inch adhesive-backed (stick-on / PSA) round sanding discs only.
Suitable for automotive paint prep sanding, fine woodworking, and refined metal finishing requiring precision.
How to use: Clean the pad face free of dust, peel off the backing adhesive from the sanding disc, center and press it onto the pad, then mount the pad onto a pneumatic or electric sander.
Recommendation: Do not use with hook-and-loop (Velcro) sanding discs, as this is a smooth face intended only for adhesive discs.
