The YAMADA Fall Arrester Model Y-RG1-S is a guided-type fall arrester on a flexible anchor line, made of exceptionally durable hardened alloy steel. It is designed to act as a rope grab for lifelines. The device moves freely up and down following the user under normal conditions, but will lock automatically and instantly upon shock loads or a fall to stop the fall within the shortest possible distance.
