YAMADA Figure 8 Descender with Ears Size L Model Y-DL8-A
The YAMADA Figure 8 Descender Model Y-DL8-A is made from high-quality aluminum alloy in a large Figure 8 shape (Size L) featuring extended side "wings" (Wings/Ears). It is designed to prevent the rope from sliding up and cinching around the top into a girth hitch, while allowing the user to wrap the rope for a secure and safe lock-off during work at heights.

Features

Safety Wings/Ears: The side wings prevent the rope from tangling onto itself and serve as wrapping points for stopping or mid-air work positioning.

High-Strength Aluminum Alloy: Strong structure capable of withstanding high tensile loads, lightweight, and rust-resistant.

Superior Heat Dissipation: The aluminum surface quickly dissipates heat generated by friction between the rope and the device, protecting rope fibers from damage.

Large Loop Design: The large ring accommodates single ropes, double ropes, or larger diameter ropes with ease.

Anodized Finish: The surface features a hard-anodized coating to reduce friction wear and ensure smooth rope gliding.

Applications

High-rise building abseiling, such as window cleaning, building maintenance, or painting

Search and rescue operations requiring safe speed control and rope lock-off

Arborist work for controlled descent from large trees

Rock climbing activities and tactical rope technique training
