OKAZAKI model NPDC040-090 is a 4.0 mm NC Starting Drill manufactured by leading Japanese cutting tool brand OKAZAKI SEIKI. Made of cobalt high-speed steel (HSS-Co / HSCO), it is specially designed to enhance hole-starting precision on CNC or milling machines, eliminating "drill walking" of the main drill bit and ensuring hole positions match drawings 100% accurately.

Feature

90° Point Angle: The 90-degree point angle is optimal for hole preparation to allow standard drill bits to center easily, and can be used for neat chamfering of small screw holes.

HSCO (Cobalt HSS): Cobalt alloying gives the drill bit high red hardness, providing excellent heat resistance during drilling and a longer service life than conventional HSS drills.

High Rigidity: Short and thick tool construction enhances rigidity, reducing vibration and deflection when starting to drill the workpiece.

Japanese Quality: Reliable accuracy in dimensions and cutting angles conforming to Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).

Application

NC/CNC Spotting: Used for center spotting on metal workpieces before using the main drill bit.
