OKAZAKI Model NPD080-090 is a premium NC starting drill made in Japan. Crafted from cobalt high speed steel (HSS-Co / HSCO), it is designed to create accurate and exceptionally stable spotting marks prior to drilling. With an 8.0 mm diameter—a relatively large size for a starting drill—it provides high rigidity, effectively preventing bit walking or runout even on hard materials.

Feature

90° Point Angle: The 90-degree point angle is designed for precise centering and allows hole chamfering for countersunk screws in a single operation.

Cobalt High Speed Steel (HSCO): Made of cobalt-blended HSS material for high heat resistance and longer edge retention than conventional steel. Ideal for heavy-duty and continuous drilling operations.

High Rigidity Design: The short flute and shank structure reduces vibration and prevents breakage and deflection better than standard drill bits.

Strict Precision: Manufactured to Japanese standards (JIS), ensuring high symmetry and very low run-out.
