The STANLEY model 57-533A hammer is a large hammer in the Compo-Cast® series, weighing 42 oz (approx. 1.2 kg), designed for applications requiring high impact force combined with maximum safety. The entire hammer is coated with urethane material and filled with metal shot inside to create a dead blow (no rebound) effect, preventing the hammer from bouncing back upon striking. This transfers maximum power to the workpiece and, crucially, the outer material has spark-resistant properties, making it safe for use in flammable areas.
