ANA model A131-0771 is an extra-large brass foot valve designed to be installed at the end of a water pump's suction line. It functions as a vertical check valve to retain water pressure inside the suction pipe and prevent backflow into the water source when the pump stops, eliminating air bubbles in the piping system and allowing the pump to deliver water immediately upon startup (Self-Priming Support).
