Application

Re-edging: Used for re-bevelling blade angles or re-sharpening extremely dull blades with no remaining edge.

Initial rough sharpening: Used as the first step before switching to finer grit stones (such as 1000 or 6000 grit) for a perfected edge.

Heavy-duty blade sharpening: Suitable for large electric planer blades or heavy-duty planer knives.
