The Makita B-66553 (MAM015) is the ultimate surface removal accessory for construction work. Featuring extra-large, sharp 20-grit carbide grains, it bites in and removes large amounts of material rapidly (Extra-Fast Removal). The wide 116 mm plate size significantly speeds up large-area demolition tasks, built to withstand the toughest heavy-duty applications.

Maximum Material Removal: With grit 20, it provides the fastest material removal, making it ideal for "demolition" rather than smooth sanding.

High Efficiency: Reduces the time needed to remove thick, hardened mortar or adhesive compared to grinding wheels or manual chiseling.

Extreme Durability: Carbide grit is firmly bonded to a metal backing, resisting tearing and providing excellent resistance to heat generated from mortar friction.

Large Working Area: The 116 mm width helps maintain level sanding over large surface areas.

Application

Surface preparation: Sanding off tile adhesive (thin-set mortar) after tile removal, stripping thick layers of adhesive mortar.

Concrete work: Levelling aerated concrete surfaces, smoothing concrete formwork seams, removing dried concrete splatters from floors.

Demolition work: Removing thick, hardened layers of carpet adhesive, sanding off factory floor epoxy coatings in hard-to-reach spots.

Woodwork: Sanding extremely rough wood or timber contaminated with construction residues.
