The Makita B-21755 is a sandpaper from the Black Series that uses Silicon Carbide abrasive grains, which are harder and sharper than conventional red grit sandpaper. Grit 240 is one of the most versatile grits for stone applications, as it effectively removes scratch marks from coarse sanding and leaves only fine scratches in preparation for fine sanding in the next step.

Stone work: Smoothing surfaces of marble, granite, or artificial stone after coarse sanding with grit 80 or 120.

Glass work: Trimming glass edges after cutting to remove chips and ensure smooth, even edges.

Composite materials: Sanding hard fiberglass or epoxy resin surfaces.

Paint work: Sanding to remove orange peel or imperfections on cured glossy clear coats.
