- The MAKITA B-31790 holesaw is a Bi-Metal (BiM) holesaw bit for large hole drilling at 95 mm (approx. 3-3/4 inches) with a maximum working cutting depth of 40 mm.

The body is made from high-speed bi-metal steel (HSS Bi-Metal) with teeth reinforced with 8% cobalt. The cobalt enhances strength and high heat resistance against friction when drilling hard materials such as thick metal and stainless steel, providing the holesaw with a long service life and consistently high performance.

A key feature is its compatibility with the Ezychange Quick-Change System, Makita's unique quick-release mechanism. This system is especially crucial for large-sized bits (such as 95 mm) because it allows users to:
