- MAKITA B-31821 Hole Saw is a Bi-Metal (BiM) hole saw for large 121 mm (approx. 4-3/4 inch) hole cutting with a maximum usable cutting depth of 40 mm.

The body is made from high-speed bi-metal steel (HSS Bi-Metal) with teeth reinforced with 8% cobalt. The cobalt enhances strength and high heat resistance against friction when drilling hard materials such as thick metal and stainless steel, providing the holesaw with a long service life and consistently high performance.

A key feature is its compatibility with the Ezychange Quick-Change System, Makita's unique quick-release mechanism. This system is especially important for large hole saws (such as 121 mm) because:

Bit changes: Allows you to switch holesaw bits between different sizes quickly without using additional tools.

Core slug ejection: Allows you to easily push and eject large cut-out cores (core slugs) from the back of the bit.

The Progressive Tooth Geometry design provides smooth hole starting, reduces vibration, and increases cutting speed.                                             Applications
