MAKITA D-17273 is a Bi-Metal (BIM) holesaw with a diameter of 40 mm (1-9/16 inches). Made from High-Speed Steel (HSS) combined with other metals for high strength and a long service life, it is ideal for efficiently drilling holes larger than standard drill bits can produce. This holesaw is used with a Makita arbor and pilot bit or other compatible brands, usable with conventional drills or SDS Plus drills (with an appropriate arbor). The rated cutting depth is approximately 38 mm (1 1/2 inches), allowing for cutting through medium-thickness materials in a single pass.
