The Schneider circuit breaker is a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) in the Acti 9 iID family that is vital for electrical system safety. It is designed to protect against electric shock from direct contact (life-threatening) and prevent electrical fires caused by earth leakage currents in 1-phase (2P) electrical systems. It features a rated operational current up to 100A and a trip sensitivity of 10mA, which is the standard sensitivity level for direct personal protection. The device is an instantaneous AC Type and must be used in conjunction with a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) to protect against overcurrent and short circuits.
