The Schneider circuit breaker is a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) in the Acti 9 iID family that is vital for electrical system safety. Designed to prevent electric shocks from indirect contact and prevent fire hazards caused by earth leakage currents in 3-phase (4P) electrical systems, it has a rated operational current of 40A and a tripping sensitivity of 30mA—a level focused on fire risk prevention and an acceptable level of personal protection, especially when used as a main or selective intermediate protector. It is an AC Type device with instantaneous operation and must always be installed in conjunction with a miniature circuit breaker (MCB).
