A highlight of the K9-204 is the 70 ft (21.3 m) FlexShaft cable, which is enclosed along its entire length in a flexible and durable nylon sheath and housed entirely within an enclosed drum system, reducing mess and splatter and making post-job clean-up easy.

Like other FlexShaft models, the K9-204 does not have a built-in motor, but is powered by a standard cordless drill (recommended speed 1,800 - 2,500 RPM) connected to the drive shaft on the machine. - Limited cleaning reach The 70 ft (21.3 m) cable may not be long enough for exceptionally long main drain lines or pipes located very deep in some applications.
- Performance depends on the drill Cleaning head performance and rotational power vary depending on the power and quality of the cordless drill used.
- Although the system helps reduce mess, cleaning the cable and cleaning heads after use is still necessary to maintain performance and prolong machine life.
- Not suitable for solid objects Because it provides wall-to-wall cleaning using chains striking the pipe walls, it is not suitable for boring through solid, fixed blockages, which could damage the cable.
