The white SFT-N (OX) spiral flute tap is an excellent tool for threading, particularly on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, and various alloys, as well as medium carbon steel and alloy steel. Choosing this bright finish tap ensures high tapping performance and good results in these materials. It does not feature a Black Oxide surface treatment like black taps, but has an original bright HSS finish or a thin clear coating that does not alter its color. The lack of black oxide coating can leave the cutting edges slightly sharper.
