In 1964, Mitsubishi started from Kang Yong Electric Public Company Limited, founded in January under the name "Kang Yong Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd." as a joint venture with the Phornprapha family, establishing a household electrical appliance brand. In 1971, Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. was established as a home appliance sales company. In 1975, Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. originated from "Burapha Broadband Industry Co., Ltd." in the form of factory automation. In 1977, Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was founded as a joint venture between Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Japan) and Worachak Engineering Co., Ltd. under the name: Worachak International Co., Ltd., which Mitsubishi sellsin escalators and air conditioning systems, mechanical and electrical systems, telecommunications, and specialty products. In 1988, Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd. was founded to manufacture and sell air conditioner compressors. In 1989, Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established as an air conditioner manufacturing plant. In 1991, Mitsubishi Elevator Asia Co., Ltd. was established as an elevator and escalator manufacturing plant. In 1992, the Mitsubishi Electric Asia Coordination Center was established as a branch office. In 1996, Mitsubishi Electric Thai Auto Parts Co., Ltd. was established as an automotive equipment manufacturing plant. In 1998, Melco was consolidated into Mitsubishi Electric Asia Corporate Office. In 2004, Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. changed its name to Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. and became a leader in air conditioning. In 2005, Burapha Broadband Industry Co., Ltd. changed its name to Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. In 2009, Worachak International Co., Ltd. changed its name to Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. In 2013, Mitsubishi Electric Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established.
